The rules for using ServiceByReg and purchasing our digital vehicle-information products.

1. General

These Terms apply to the ServiceByReg website at https://servicebyreg.co.uk and the services we provide. By using the website or buying a report, you agree to these Terms.

ServiceByReg is an online vehicle information service. Contact is by email at [email protected].

2. Purchases

Reports and add-ons are digital products purchased for the vehicle registration submitted at checkout. Prices are listed in GBP. Purchases are one-time payments and do not create a subscription.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment-card details. Your statutory UK consumer rights are not affected.

Where an order includes manufacturer service history, the payment is authorised when you order and taken only once records have been found. If no records are found, the service-history part of the payment is released. Where the order also contains items that do not depend on those records, such as a Vehicle Risk Check or V5C alerts, those items are still supplied and their price is still charged. If you add V5C alerts to a Complete History Report and no service records are found, we charge the £9.99 risk check price plus the price of your V5C alerts and release the remainder. A Complete History Report ordered on its own is released in full and you are charged nothing.

3. Vehicle reports

A report compiles information from government, manufacturer, and specialist third-party sources where available. We cannot guarantee that every source is complete, current, or error-free.

Both paid reports include market valuation estimates where available. Valuation figures are estimates for guidance only.

Reports are for information only. They are not legal, financial, mechanical, insurance, valuation, or purchasing advice. Do not rely on a report as the only check before buying.

4. Manufacturer service-history coverage

Manufacturer service history is offered for supported manufacturers from model year 2012 onward. Eligibility does not guarantee that records exist. A no-result response does not prove that the vehicle has never been serviced.

5. V5C alerts

V5C alerts are a one-time add-on covering the fixed 3, 6, or 12-month period chosen at purchase. They do not renew automatically.

6. Vehicle images

Reports may include a vehicle image where one is available. An image may not represent the vehicle's current condition, and we do not sell previous advert history.

7. Acceptable use

Use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not use bots or scrapers to extract data, attempt unauthorised access, or resell reports.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Digital reports may begin processing immediately after payment. If a report is not delivered or cannot be supplied, contact us so we can investigate.

9. Liability

We do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses caused by incomplete third-party data or by relying on a report without independent checks.

10. Website availability

We aim to keep the website available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

11. Personal data

We process personal data under our Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual property

The website's code, design, brand, and original content belong to ServiceByReg or are used under licence.

13. Law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
